Guide to Greek Transliteration

Greek words have traditionally been represented in English as transliteration of from their Latin equivalents. Thus, Olympos is usually spelled Olympus, and Herakles is usually spelled Hercules (or sometimes Heracles). With this web page I hope to inform the general public of a more accurate way to transliterate Greek into English.

N.B.: In order to see the Greek words correctly you must be using a graphical browser on a system which has some font of the "Symbol" typeface (comes standard with MacOS and Windows).
